Hanshi Fusei Kise, 10th Dan, Grand Master of OSMKKF
Hanshi Kise has been teaching karate for over 50 years. He holds a 10th Degree Black Belt in Shorin-Ryu Matsumura-Seito and he is the Grand Master of the Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Matsumura-Seito Karate and Kobudo Federation. He is also a 9th Degree Black Belt in Okinawan Kempo and a 10th Degree Black Belt in Shorinji Ryu Karate. Hanshi has Dojos all over the world. His headquarters is located in Okinawa City, Okinawa Japan. Grand Master Kise makes trips to the United States once a year and also travels to other countries as well to teach the art of Kenshin Kan Shorin Ryu as well as Kobudo (Weapons) Training.

Kaicho Isao Kise, 8th Dan, President of OSMKKF
Kaicho (President) Isao Kise is the President of the Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Matsumura-Seito Karate and Kobudo Federation. Kaicho Isao teaches at the Main Dojo, Okinawa City, Okinawa Japan, military bases on Okinawa and has his on Dojo in Okinawa City. Kaicho is the All Okinawan Kata, Kobudo, and Kumite Grand Champion.
Kaicho teaches Traditional Karate, Sport Karate, Sport Kumite as well as full contact Karate. He is a senior judge for tournaments throughout the Island of Okinawa. Kaicho has been training since the age of 4 and was born July 27, 1957. Kaicho believes in hard demanding workouts and trains his students to be champions. Kaicho was promoted to the rank of Hachi Dan (8th Dan) on January 18th 1998.

Shihan Greg Lazarus, 7th Dan, Eastern US Director OSMKKF
Shihan Greg Lazarus is the Chief Instructor of the Dover Kenshin Kan Karate Dojo located in Dover, NH. He opened his dojo June 1, 1980, and presently has students running dojos in Maine, Vermont, New York, Florida and Arizona. Shihan Lazarus is a firm believer that to be a good student one must train hard, attend classes regularly, exercise traditional protocol, and be able to teach what one has learned.
Personal History
- Started formal karate training in Shorinryu Matsumura Orthodox (Seito) on March 1, 1974.
- Promoted to Shodan on April 29, 1979.
- Promoted to Yondan and awarded the Renshi Title on November 2, 1985.
- Participated in the All Japan Games (Kokutai) - Okinawa, Japan, in October 1987.
- Received "School of the Month" by Black Belt Magazine, January 1990.
- Certified International Police Self Defense Instructor on January 1, 1995.
- Awarded Shihan Title on May 4, 1996.
- Trains with Hanshi Kise in Okinawa on a yearly basis since 1984.
- Promoted to 7th Dan, Nanadan, on June 26, 1999
- Inducted into World Karate Union Hall of Fame on June 30, 2001
Shihan Lazarus is known in New England for his traditional Okinawan seminars in kata, tuite, kobudo and personal self defense. He welcomes all students that come to him with the true essence of karate-do at heart and expects them to strive toward excellence in being a model student and teacher.

Sensei Bob Modee, 5th Dan, Head Instructor Kittery Kenshin Kan Karate Dojo
Sensei Bob began his karate training studying Shotokan in Massachusetts in 1981. After moving to New Hampshire, he began studying Shorin Ryu under Shihan Greg Lazarus in 1986. He received his Shodan (first degree black belt) certificate in 1990, and began teaching in the Kittery Kenshin Kan Karate dojo in May of 1991. He was promoted to Godan in 2003, and still trains under Shihan Lazarus on a regular basis. He accompanied Shihan to Okinawa for training in the Hombu Dojo in 2001 and 2002. Sensei Bob accompanied Hanshi Kise to Argentina in 2004, and again with Hanshi and Kaicho in 2005 as an interpreter and to assist in teaching classes and seminars.
